Overview

The Open Summer Course of Portuguese as a Foreign Language offers classes in Portuguese Language and modules on Cinema, Music, Literature and Portuguese Culture. It also includes guided tours and other cultural activities, which aim to provide students with the opportunity to get to know aspects of Portuguese culture, in particular of the Algarve region.

Common Reference Levels

A1: For absolute beginners
A2: For students with previous basic knowledge of the Portuguese language

Other levels (B1/B2 and C1/C2) will depend on the number of applicants.

A detailed programme will be made known at the beginning of classes. Most school outings are free of charge. However, an additional payment may be required.

Operating Mode

The course will begin on the 4th of July and will end on the 28th of July 2022.

Portuguese language classes take place from Monday to Thursday, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm.

The course syllabus includes guided tours and other cultural activities, aiming to allow students to get acquainted with some aspects of Portuguese culture, and, in particular of the Algarve. Cultural activities (as well as the modules) are usually held in the afternoon.

These activities will be subjected to the situation status of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Tuition and Fees 2021/2022 

• 25 Euros (application fee); paid on application
• 450 Euros (tuition fee) to be paid until 29th June
• 475 Euros (application + tuition fee)
