Study trip to Adršpach - Teplice Rocks
In frame of International Staff Week and Storytelling workshops, which have taken place in the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa, ICO organized trip to the unique place rich in weird and wonderful rock formations in Czech Republic - Adršpach.
The route took our guests from Great Britain, Bulgaria, Turkey,
France, Spain and Portugal along lookout points. We climbed numerous staircases
carved in the rocks and squeezed through narrow gaps between huge stones.
All of us could let our imagination run wild while we were looking at the
bizarre shapes created by the rocks, called by different names: Mayor and
Mayoress, Eagle's Nest, the Tooth, Devil's Bridge, Caterpillar, Lovers, etc.
Squeezing through gorges between rock towers made us feel like playing in
an adventure film. That unique genius loci attracted visitors with a magical
waterfall, where after saying magical words water starts to spatter. It is
a good practice to thank spirit of the Adršpach Rocks after visiting that
fascinating place.
