UMICORE opened their first office in Nysa

New specialization-engineering of sustainable development will be opened at the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa. The new project is connected to the planned opening of UMICORE Company in the economic area WSSE Invest – Radzikowice – Goświnowice Park. For this reason, the Rector of UAS Nysa, His Magnificence Przemysław Malinowski plans to open new faculties which will be strongly connected to the electromobility branch.   

Belgian Company UMICORE is going to build a new production plant of cathodic materials which are a part of li-Ion batteries. The batteries produced in Nysa will be used in electric cars. The new Company needs highly qualified and specialized staff, therefore UAS Nysa cooperates with the UMICORE in terms of creating new study program. After a very intense time of construction works, the company will start deliver their products to the clients. UMICORE plans to employ 400 people at the end of first phase which is 2023.
