University of Applied Sciences in Nysa is going to build a photovoltaic power station
UAS Nysa is preparing to introduce an innovative project named Sustainable University- PWSZ w Nysie, which main point is to build a photovoltaic power station with the charging car stations. The motivation for the project was the investment of UMICORE company in the economic area WSSE Invest – Radzikowice – Goświnowice Park. UAS Nysa wants to be a part of global movement towards reducing carbon emission to the atmosphere and limiting the negative impact on the environment.
The photovoltaic installation will be built at the Otmuchowska Street in the area which belongs to UAS Nysa. Rector and the Mayor of Nysa City appointed a team of specialists responsible for sustainable energetic development of Nysa municipality. At the same time the University is going to develop their cooperation with UMICORE in terms of new faculties corresponding to the company needs. Moreover, UAS Nysa opens new specialization engineering of sustainable development at the faculty of management and production engineering and is going to set new laboratories fully equipped in the highest class apparatus.
In comparison to other European countries, Poland doesn’t use much of solar energy or any other renewable sources of energy. Therefore, the changes must be introduced by use of modern solutions like photovoltaic power station which allow to produce high quality energy supplying public institutions, big industrial plants, residential areas or even whole cities.
